I just got my Garmin V, and have been trying to find a place to install it. I removed the center vent/clock bezel, popped the vent louvers out, and pressed the gps in the opening. It looks pretty good!! I will probably buy another bezel to try it with, to get the proper trimmiing. It also probably needs an ext. antenna, but while it was sitting in the hole under the dash, it had no problem acquiring sats. Just a cool idea, I thought I'd share with everyone!! It's not installed, I just set the beze bac in place to see what it would look like!!

Josh,

I live in NM. There's no way I would ever give up an A/C vent.

[glow=black,2,2]Could you re-route that lost venting to another vent .. tap into it ? Better yet , diminish the disconected vents size and re-route it up into the headliner , and thru a new vent above your pumpkin B :D[/glow]

That does look really good, looks almost like a factory option

VERY nice...are you using an external antenna and, if so, where'd you mount it?

ooops....strike that last dumb question...

Hltoppr has a trick way of mounting a GPS without loosing the vent. I live in Phoenix and need all the A/C I can get. He bent some metal and made a mount that secures the the drivers A pillar grab handle. If he ever comes back to the forum, maybe he can post a pic.

Man, that looks awesome.

But like others have said, that's the summertime AC vent for all the whiny bastids in the back. Sealing off this vent should increase the airflow rate out of the other vents, but I don't think their placement would allow this to offset the difference.

Probably won't matter in Cali, I assume. But anyplace where 90 - 100 degrees or more is the minimum in the summertime it would probably make a bigger difference.
