Anyone know the approximate angle of slope that a stock 80 is capable of safely traversing sideways? How about the angle for OME with 285s? Thanks

There is only one way to find out :tomatoe:
When you do, let us know.
Sneek into the Land Rover dealership at night and run their test track.

Not sure what you really need to know for. There about a million variables that could factor into it. If it's just for bragging rights then get yourself one of those little clinometers with the bubble and have at it. When you feel your pants get wet that's probably far enough.

As a general rule of thumb when on the trails I like to keep my rig pointed strait up or down...It's not really a great feeling to have your rig sliding sideways down a hill. And remember if you feel like you’re getting in trouble point it down slope and gas it. ;)

just curious for bragging rights. i will let you know when i find out but you may have to buy me a new pair of pants and some upholstry cleaner. :D

It's likely something around 42 degrees..you'll know when you pee your pants or you leave a nice pucker mark on your leather seat (YMMV if you have fabric seats) :D

Cheers, Hugh
