so, I am liking a rig I have found on the East coast and I live in SD, CA. I was thinking of paying to have it transported with an auto transport company, but I am pretty leary of this (and it is not cheap).

    -any stories?
    -any advice?
    -any recommendations for haulers, companies?

See my previous post regarding Kiwi's Karriers. Prompt professional, courteous & moderately priced. I'd use them again in a heart beat. Jim

I never used one myself, but just made a road trip from NC to NE , with my own truck and trailer. All said it only cost me less than 900. That was for food , diesel, lodging. Would do it again, as long as i could stay out of St Louis.
