Hey Cruiser Gods,

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I have an easy question. I'm doing the transmission/transfer case return line this weekend and I want to know what type of Oil everybody is running. I planned just running 90wt. but if there is anything that would be better I would do that. Just so you know I looked at the sticky with all the info, but did not quite understand it. I have an 84 fj60 220,000 miles, Stock. I'm trying to catch up some jobs that have been neglected so I can do some trail rides this summer. Thanks a Million.

80 w 90

But you will be fine with 90 wt

The reason to go to a thinner oil (lower number) is due to temp. If it is freaking cold out, you will want a thinner oil.

Everyone seems to use 80W-90 GL-5. Buy it at any auto parts place. If I feel rich I may experiment with Redline MT-90, a 75W-90 GL-4 synthetic. But it really does seem to work fine with the everyday stuff.

It's depending on the temprature where you live in.
if cold, go 80 W90, otherwise 90.

Oh, Min Seok
