transmission question 80 series (1 Viewer)

New to the forum and new owner of a 1991 land crusier. I tried searching but no luck

I was wondering if a 1997 80 series transmission will fit on a 1991. I know the motors are different but what about tranny?

The 97 A343F transmission is electronically controlled by the ECU.
The 91 A440F is hydraulic.
Different animals.

Yes, the transmissions were different. Yours has the A440F and the 1997's have the A343F.
