After I bolted up my new transmission/motor mount I noticed it has the letter "B" on one side. This makes me think that this B indicates which side faces forward or back.

Anyone know which way is right?

The old mount is not completely symmetrical: the 2 studs are not on the centerline.

As long as all the holes align without heaving on it to get it to fit... All is good.

It went on easily. I do not have the front motor mounts in yet: I removed the mount "arms" from the block for rust removal and paint.

It is hard for me to tell if the front mounts will line up correctly if I have the rear transmission mount on the wrong way round.

Is it possible the "B" is to indicate it is for a B series engine? I ask this as the one I just received for my HZJ-73 has an "H" on the rubber.
