were are the oil filler holes for a landcruiser 4speed and trans case.

i can't find mine

the filler hole for the transfer case is at the back of the transfer case on the left hand side of the car, a few inches above the bottom. The filler hole for the gear box is on the left hand side of the car as well, near the middle of the side of the gearbox, about half way up. They may be connected by a pipe.

thanks heaps. gotta get under there tomorrow...

this may sound stupid, but there is a drain plug isn't there?

yeppers...drain plugs on both, centered below the output shafts on the t-case, centered on the tranny. They are metric, but mine open fine with a 15/16" wrench.

he he he. lucky me in australia, all dads tools are metric. did he know i was buying a cruiser or what :)

pity most his tools have been permanently borrowed :(

Yeah, its a 17 mm.

All my Filler and Drain Plugs have a 24mm Head.

Lane Toyota in Glen Waverley tried to sell me a Engine Sump Plug Gasket Washer for a 19mm Headed Sump Plug last Friday.   The outer diameter of the Gasket Washer is the size that I have for the Sump Plug.  :D

wow, i've come along way since this post
