In the fj 60's does the oil get shared inbetween the transfercase and tranny or is it separte? thanks joel
 
Well, it depends. They do have a seal between them but every one I have seen pumps oil from the transfer case to the transmission and eventually overfills the transmission. MAF sells a kit to rout oil between the two fill plugs to buy some time before a transfer case rebuild. To replace just the seal is a whole lotta work.
