Hi all

I've searched and I can't seem to find the definitive answer to this. I'm working through some leaks on my transfer case, as well as replacing the section with the drain plug - it was cracked.

So far I've done the rear output seal and bearing, and the section that was damaged. I couldn't tell beforehand, but now that I have addressed those leaks and cleaned the the whole thing up. it appears i also have a front output leak. Yes i should have just dropped the TC and done the lot but here we are!

My question is, do I need to drop the case to address this seal? The thread below would lead me to believe that the front output housing can be removed with it still in the truck? Or am I missing some interference somewhere? Is it because he has the whole TC/tranny combo out of the truck?
