Hi folks, I recently stumbled onto a landcruiser link that advertised a transfer case saver bracket that is bolted onto the TC to make it stronger and to make it less likely to shear in half. What I could not figure out from the link was if this bracket is for the 80 series or just for the 40 series. Is there such a thing for the TC in the 80 series, is it necessary, how many have it on our type of rig? Here is a link to the product. Thanks and  For All!

Yes, I have the Slee Transfer Case Skidplate and it is awesome, as all of Slee's products are. The fit, finish and strength of it are amazing. I purchased the plate as protection but thought that the thing would never see any serious use, well it turns out that the third wheeling trip I made, I chose my line poorly and smacked the snot out of the plate on a slippery snow covered rock, the plate took the full hit and asked for more!!! Seriously, it is super strong and super well situated to protect the transfer case. I would recommend it to everyone. Thanks for the info on the other transfer case thing; that transfer case in that link looked somewhat different but I did not know if it worked for our 80 series TC's. Thanks. For All!
