Hi
My HDJ80 suffered some saltwater damage late last year. Since then I swapped out the A/T for a 5 speed and part time transfer case. Even though the wiring on the transfer's electrical actuator is the same, I can't get it to work via my old CDL switch. I figured the problem is probably on the transmission relay on the drivers side kickpanel.
Since most of the stock wiring is corroded or has traces of shorting I don't want to fix this system. A homemade sytem based on standard 30 amp Bosch relays should work just as fine.
I tried drawing an electrical diagram using 4 relays and a 2 position toggle switch but it didn't work out.
Can anyone with electrical knowledge please help me.
The actuator motor has two wires. One polarity spins it in one direction, reverse the polarity and it goes the other way.
Cheers,
