:steer:Hey ya'll, new to the forum.

I am looking to install a Best Top trailmax tumble and fold bench seat in the back. For those of you who have done this, can you please tell me what the bolt hole pattern is on the floor? I am looking for the bracket mounting hole dimensions A and B. See enclosed picture.

Cheers...

I would simply attach the brackets to the seat first, place the seat where you want it to be in the tub IN BOTH THE FOLDED AND UNFOLDED position, then mark the holes to be drilled. I assume this is the question you are asking. Once you mark the holes, you may want to make double sure you are not drilling into anything underneath, and that your "tap plate" clears anything else under the tub. You may consider a tiny pilot hole first to see where it will be underneath the tub. Hope this helps.

X2 - that's what I did. With the 40 you won't have to worry about the e-clip so the seat can be removed as there won't be enough clearance. So just put it together, position it, and drill.

I have holes in the back already, I just want to know if they will mate up with the supplied brackets.

Can someone please reply with the required hole spacing dimensions?

Cheers....

I have a 1973, and did not use the supplied brakcets as I did not want to drill even more holes into the tub.

What I did was purchase the seat belt extension brackets, both A and B:

Seat Belt Hardware

These are the same brackets that CCOT sells in their Trailmax seat as the conversion kit. Their brackets have a small notch drilled into them to allow for the seat to be flipped up. I simply turned the brackets around so that they were facing forward. It actually gave me more room to mount the 4 point harness seatbelts.

So, I used the holed already in the tub, and it was a fairly simple install. I will post pics shortly.
