I am setting up a 4X4 camping trailer based on the M416 design. I want to have TWO batteries in the trailer - one for accesories (fridge), and one (removeable) for stand-by and trolling motor use. Hellroaring in Montana makes an isolator that I believe works for this purpose.
My questions:
1.) Should I invest in a high output alternator to help out with the charging duties?
2.) Should I run a separate (8 awg?) wire and connector to the trailer for charging, or just let it charge through the trailer electrical connection.
Thanks for any pointers...
