I see that NM4wheelers are having their monthly trial ride this Sunday and I'm thinking of going. This is a stocker friendly run on forest roads. I haven't done any sort of wheeling in the Manzanos so I'm game.

Meet at 8:30am at the Tijeras Ranger Station. Not sure where we will go yet, it depends if any of the Monzano Mt seasonal road closures are in effect. Plan to go to the north of where we went last year. This will be an easy run on forest roads so stock vehicles will have no problems. Bring a lunch and be ready if it is cold. Threre are no gas stations so have a full tank of gas. Should be back by 4:00-5:00pm

Let me know if there is any interest.

It's about a mile south of the Tijeras exit at I-40 on NM337. The Tijeras exit is exit 175, about 16 miles east of the *Big I".

This sounds like fun. Will let you know. Where is the Tijeras ranger station?

My apologies, here's the Google map link to the Ranger Station:

NM 4wheelers encourages guests to join their club runs and that's pretty much what I've been doing for years. There is a nice coffee shop near the Ranger station but if you need major lunch items, I'd pick them up in town. These guys are very organized so when they say to show up at 8:30, don't be late. They run a tight ship!

Bring the kids, dogs, food, toys whatever. I'll be bringing my six year old with me.

It's about a mile south of the Cedar Crest exit at I-40 on NM337. The Cedar Crest/Tijeras exit is exit 175, about 16 miles east of the *Big I".

Fixed it for ya

I'm a maybe. Possibly a friend wants to try his Ford's (escape?) "smart" 4WD. How much of a "stocker" trail is this forrest road?
