I’ve done a lot with just the forks. They stay on the loader now. A grapple would be very handy around my woods. I’ve taken 10 dump trailer loads of old wood to the dump so far. Still have more dead standing to clear out.

Does anyone know of a local hydraulic hose shop that might have a right angle coupler to replace this straight through one? On full curl back that hose hits the grapple. Looks like it's two different sizes on either end.

Dump trailer you say.....? :bounce::hmm:

Battery Warehouse in Leesburg has hydraulic fittings and can make hoses.

I like going to the dump with the dump trailer. And then talking with all the other hooligans as they carry s*** out of their truck that got there before me and are still there when I leave. One of the best investments I ever made.

and the scrap metal runs are soooo much easier.

What size dump trailer do you guys have? Any tips or features you can't live without on your trailer? Something you'd do different if getting one now?

I have a brimar 3ton capacity. Two way doors on the back. I wish it was painted instead of powder coated as the PC is peeling now. A remote would be nice for dumping. Other than that, it really is a great investment and back saver.

Check with Colliflower, we use at work the one in Capitol Heights. But there's one near the Springfield Costco.

The one I use is Burl’s it’s a 3 tone with a singe dump door he modified the pins. A remote would be nice. Tall sides is nice but my subcompact tractor doesn’t lift high enough.

Doing some work that was part of my justification for buying the tractor. I was quoted $6k to replace this retaining wall and that was back when lumber wasn't stupid expensive.

I decided to do the 50 hour hydraulic and HST filter and fluid change today. Those Korean's sure monkeyed the filters on tight. I had to go get a a set of 15 inch filter pliers to get them to break and even then I had to take the right rear wheel off to get enough leverage to break the hydraulic oil filter off. While I had the wheel off I decided to see how much the wheel/tire/beet juice combo weighed. Right at 270 pounds. I had to use a bar and a 4x4 block to get it back on the wheel studs.

2260 for the bare tractor + 600 for the loader + 300 for the beet juice + 1000 for the backhoe = 4160 pounds all in. That's a lot of weight for only 24.5hp. I have a feeling Kioti didn't really detune the 1.6L engine all that much from it's normal 35hp. I wish I could find a PTO dyno in the area to test this theory out.

Alas.... no Kioti or their Bobcat brethren. I'm guessing they don't test many sub 35hp tractors.

Yeah, guess it's Ag-centric testing.

They got 87.5hp at the PTO on my Deere. It was advertised at 82hp PTO and 99hp at the crank.

s*** day with my machines yesterday.

I managed to run my Bobcat out of fuel. First time I've done that in over fifteen years. Headliner has fallen, so I can't see the gauges. But it was my fault for not paying attention.

Talk about a s*** job purging the system.... a 90' era Peugeot fed by a Lucas injector pump. Uggg. Couldn't find any documentation or tips online. Struggled with that s*** show for a few hours. Finally got her running again at lunch. Then I switched to the Deere and found the fuel cap was off and water in the tank. Plus a squirrel had constructed a condominium under the engine cover back by the windshield. Another couple of hours wasted there.

Didn't get much done yesterday. And ******* do I hate smelling like diesel.

Does anyone have, or have used, a 3pt tiller? I'm thinking about getting one but damn they're expensive for something I'm going to use 2 or 3 times per year. I have an old Troy bilt walk behind tiller that does the job but takes forever (3 hours) to till my 40x50ft garden.

Time and effort = MONEY. I have used them on big tractors but nothing on the size of ours.
