Hi all, I have had P1125 bothering me recently. So I have followed advice and checked my throttle motor which appears all good. So I changed MAF sensor apps and tps. I still have the cel and limp home mode permanently on. What's next? The car runs the same with the throttle motor plugged in or not. I suppose I'll re test the motor, then the wiring. Any ideas?

Did you test the motor control circuit on an oscilloscope and get the correct waveforms?

It's step 1 in the FSM procedure (DI-111). That's more than I have equipment for but probably gives the most information.

I had a couple TPS codes over a period of about 6 months. Changed TPS when it became regular and then got a P1125 for the motor immediately after changing the TPS... using the jedi force and forum knowledge base I decided the whole TB was questionable and changed it to avoid periodic failures and expense. Having run a few thousand miles and 6 weeks on a whole new Throttle Body (with old APPS, long story..) I have not had a single fault and it runs well. I think the P1125 may be rooted in either the motor control circuit as NMuzj100 suggests, the motor itself, wireing, or in my opinion most likely the Throttle body is filthy, worn out, or both. (Notice how my opinion justified my spending big $ on the new TB... I don't know if my opinion is worth a poop or not.)
