Dreaming big about the 40 sitting in the garage. There seem to be a ton of 2 wheel drive V8 Tundra's available around here. I know the Chevy 350 is the popular choice, but why not keep it Toyota? Could you comment on what kind of tranny you might use? Stock? What about the differences between the old carbuerated Chevy and all of the EFI complications with the Toyota.

Thanks!

you prolly can make it fit. I've even seen a person stick a v8 in a honda. he had to cut a bit but ti fit. i wouldn't have recomended it tho. lol good luck. If it did fit i'd definatly take a yota engine over a chevy. good luck

This was discussed a while back. In Australia you can buy a bellhousing adapter to mate this engine to a stock 4 speed. Then you have to deal with flywheel, clutch, motor mounts, exhaust, high pressure fuel lines, and of course wiring it. I think there is a FJ55 out west with a complete V8 toyota drivetrain. It would be really cool, but theres not a ton of info about how to do it.
