Toyota Sprinter Carib/Corolla 4x4 Wagon

Hey,

We're looking at getting a commuter vehicle to go back and forth between Edmonton and our acreage an hour west of Edmonton. Does anyone know how the Toyota Carib/Corolla is on gas? Also, will is cruise at 110km/hr easily (not like the Surf which can do it if you want to crack your head every three months)? How is availability of parts?

they sold the LHD carolla wagon in canada so aprts are easy to get, get a gasser, you don't need more head issues...
the corolla i brought in for my B-I-L is getting 42 mpg and crusiers easily at 110...mind you he has a very light foot...
