I was wondering if there was some corporate strong-arming involved in these special discount deals because the online tool seems to be universal and just connects you to the final retail outlet that will fill the order. I'm annoyed with how you can no longer search for the part in an exploded diagram and you have to just get the name of the part right when you do a search. There is a part I've been looking for that I can't figure out the correct name for and I can't look on a diagram and pick the part either.

SET reimburses the dealers both the shipping (IE: nothing is ever free) and percentage discount that deviates from what pricing any given dealership sells parts.
Ergo, they are never losing money, and most of the time making back the discounts and then some based on yearly sales volume in significant rewards to the dealerships (trips, money, etc.)
Really? What is the third? I have:
parts.americantoyota.com, discount is OK, but they charge a $5 pickup fee.
autoparts.americantoyota.com, discount is really good, up to 30%, plus more with sales.
