Worm gear was resurfaced and polished and all seals were replaced with OEM parts straight from Toyota Motor Co.

Interesting tech Brian. The first time I welded and ground a worm gear, my customer freaked and insisted on a different box. I chalked it up to the fact that he was a JPL rocket scientist whose sensibilities were offended.

I have welded a number of gears over the years; none have ever failed. GLWS

Mark, have you ever heard of Straight Line? Wondered what your thoughts were on their work. I respect your opinion since you rebuild these as well.
