At the risk of offending much more knowledgeable people with its no-doubt manifold errors, I wanted share a chart I nevertheless find useful when trying to identify the various Toyota and Lexis parts I'm using on my Hiace/3UZ conversion.
As you know, the first two digits in a typical Toyota/Lexis part number are referred to as the Classification Code. This apparently relates to the first Toyota or Lexis model that used the part. I have searched high and low, but I have never seen a list showing the various Classification Codes and the models they relate to. So, I made my own...
This list is not complete, and definitely contains errors (especially re the Platform Codes and Initial Years), but I still think it is useful for quickly identifying the parts I'm likely to encounter. (It also mainly covers models with fuel injection, because I used ECM part numbers to search the online parts databases.) If there's a better source for this information, please let me know!
