Would you trust an authorized Toyota dealership to perform a compression test on a 2B engine? Or is it wiser to source a cruiser specific shop? Thanks!

It is a fairly easy task with a 75 dollar compression tester.

Download a copy of the factory service manual online and buy a diesel compression tester on Ebay. Follow the FSM procedure do a compression test. It's not that difficult and only requires basic hand tools.
