Has anyone figured out if the new 5.7 L engine and 6 speed trans would fit in a 100 series land cruiser? What would it take to get this to work? My 2000 LC could use more power, and I like the idea of a 6 spped auto trans. There should be Tundras available for parts donations soon if they are not in the wrecking yard already. Has anyone measured for fit?

No (maybe Toyota? not alot of info on the new 570 frame yet), a lot of work most likely, probably not but if you take the measurements and post them I'm sure you'll find an interested audience here cheering you on.

the new lx with the new engine says they moved the cabin fire wall 4 inchs forward so there probably would have to be a lot of work; our engine bays do look big enough keep us informed

That's more promising than if they moved it back four inches to fit a bigger motor. I really doubt this will be a practical conversion that could be done cheaper than getting a new model but interesting to think about anyway.
