What's worse is that I get texts and emails saying that I have a "new message in Mychart" but it's really in the Novant Health app (yes, they're different), and vice versa. And when the doc I'm Mycharting with sends lab results but there's no mention of them in Mychart, where I got the notice, and in Novant the letter shows up but there are no results because as my doctor told me...it's a PDF and neither the Novant app or website displays PDF's. She knows it doesn't work but lets me get pissy trying to find the info, then it seems I'm a hassle when I have to call her, leave a VM, and wait another 24 hours for a response to a question they knew would never get answered in the first place. JUST FAWKING CALL ME!

My real issue today is the Rx refill that I asked for on Sunday night, got a positive response to Tuesday AM, inquired again this AM about, and have yet to hear anything from the doc or the pharmacy. Called the pharmacy a little while ago and they hadn't heard anything yet.

I'm trying really hard to not be an ass, and I've actually been nothing but positive and lauditory (is that a word?...laud is) with this doctor, and I know the "systemic failure" isn't her fault but...AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHH!

Read The F***ing Email!!!!
So. Much. Understanding.

I feel you with read the fin Email Allen. I post A HUGE amount of info about swaps in my build threads, both text and photos. If a person were to take the time to look and read almost all the answers are there IN COLOR! Yet I get calls every week from guys doing their own swaps wanting me to tell them how to fix their current problem.

I would NEVER call a person that does something for a living and ask them to tell me how to do it for myself. It's just rude. But these folks call me during business hours with no thought that I am stopping whatever I am doing (making a living) in order to answer their questions so they do not have to pay a guy like me to do it for them. Its all there for them to find if they were not too lazy to look.

I regularly share information with several other builders. We swap information that helps each other. I also help out club members etc as well when they have questions. I am talking about people I do not know from Adam calling m out of the blue "What headers should I use for my swap"

@NCFJ Stan, let it go to VM. I doubt that you will lose any business if you don’t answer each and every call given your specialty and business model. Your most important calls are the ones that YOU make. Many of us fall into the trap of helping people that will never offer a benefit to us, simply because they reached out. I think most of us are guilty of this. Some of us are still trying to repay those that have gotten us to where we are. There’s definitely a burnout point...recognize it and do what’s needed to keep your distance. I say that mostly to others, because I know you don’t take s*** from people.

That's really crappy, people taking advantage of that hard earned knowledge. Your knowledge regardless of how it is attained, intellectual property sets you apart, and can't be free.

So....whats your trick for doing a good present on the 80 front hub bearing?

@AJR are your buddies calling Stan for free advice again?

I was waiting for that comment

I'm pretty sure his 40 went to a friend as specified in his will. Can't remember where I heard that but it was someone that was talking to his family.

His son said the 40 was sold to a family friend that was/is a cruiser person (not known to the club, I believe) the price mentioned was fair for both sides..

I follow a guy on YouTube that fixes boats and shows DIY guys the tricks and tips. If you join his Patreon channel you can get one on one advice from him. Seems like a pretty good model.

So I’ve been killing chickens and using their fresh blood for nothing?

Plus you then have dead chicken for lunch.

Doctors who don’t bother to proofread what they write and refuse to accept that their message or instructions was wrong because they know that they are perfect creatures who don’t make mistakes.
You know, because clearly it’s MY fault that I have a prescription that differs in dosage and quantity by a dangerous amount, an amount that still doesn’t match up to any of the THREE written explanations she’s given me via mychart.
Also...mychart. Screw that thing, too.
And, yes, the mistake is hers. Verified by a copy of the Rx sent to the pharmacy.

Old news, but every time I see a new 'Supra', I get furious.

Historic nameplate, conjures up images of Toyota greatness and auto maker powerhouse, and they slap the badge on a BMW. WTF. They claim it would cost too much to build a new one from the ground up, yet they have a great existing FR-S platform to build from.

Take a FR-S, widen the fenders, add a bit of luxury to the interior, turbo, 6 speed, and boom! New Supra. Even if it missed the mark (which it would, because Toyota these days), at least it wouldn't be a badge engineered BMW.

Then the say "we told you" when it doesn't sell well.
Maybe if you build it right, it WOULD sell.

100 percent agree!

You do realize that the fr-s is a Subaru with Toyota badging, right?

Toyota saw big success with the brz/fr-s Subaru collaboration car, that it did it again with BMW for the supra. Makes sense to me.

Yea, I realize that.

They already spent the money on that....so further capitalize on it.
Don't tell us it costs too much money to build a new car and then partner with one of the more unreliable makes out there.
The long term costs on that blunder have to be staggering.
Just bad/weird moves all around.

Seems they have pushed the performance products to the Lexus line. 500hp and sub-4 sec. 60 times 😵
The RC & LC are sweet but I'm not sure many car enthusiasts want to drop 6 figures and then start modd'ing a car

When I see these Lexus.com | Experience Amazing and the folks driving them, all I can think is Lexus Camaro (I ran over my neighbor). I know LC stands for luxury coupe and I just think Luxury Camaro. I wonder how much they paid the group to come up with that very unique name - smh. Dropping those kind of dollars and not a Porsche 911 or C8 vette is very confusing to me. I know they need to drive to the CC in style at 10 mph under the posted speed limit however it really make no sense to me. I know everyone has what they like and I just do no get it at all. Not a rant, an observation. ;<)

To your supra statement, even if they didn't use the FRS platform they could've used the RC platform to make a Supra. It sucks that it's a BMW underneath. Didn't BMW even have a recall on the Supra that you took to BMW instead of Toyota?
