Trying to find torque converter and counterbalance in Australia or Japan.

I ordered from the USA and the part did not work. Installed it and it will now not go into gear.

Before, old torque converter was making a whining noise at low idle. It was however going into gear and changing gears. Had to push into high RPM's in order to shift from first into second and then it was fine.

Did you fill up the new torque converter with transmission fluid? They usually ship dry/empty.

Yes we did. I just found out that it's the wrong converter. Spoke to a US transmission guy and says that the part I ordered from the US was wrong. Internal spine will not reach pump. It's to short to turn pump.

He also said the loud whining sound was probably the pump going bad and not the converter.

Any Australians out there, I'll be in Sydney next week and will be looking for Flywheel, counterbalance and torque converter to carry back with me.
