on longer trips I have run my 87 FJ60 80 mph for 3 plus hours at 3200 rpm's and had no problems. A 5 speed certainly would help but I figure a high quality seat would be better to keep me from feeling so BEAT after 6 hours behind the wheel.

Nuthin like a "top speed " post to bring out all the inaccurate speedos.I got a oh so stock 88 73 series with a 3F that might hit 150-160 kph ,any thing faster is BS .
Ive hit 140 kph but any more is just being cruel.

For those who care, here is the conversion for Km-MPH

1 km/h = .62137 mph
1 mph = 1.609344 km/h

Do the math. For those of you that rode the short bus here is an example.

140km= 140 X .62137= 87 mph :D

This is my hj60, hygway descent, with very very very accurate speedometer, because of the 265-75/16 tyres do. sorry, bad quality pictures, but i was driving and taking photos with my phone...

Holy thread revival!!!!!

I did 90mph with a one bbl in the lwb45 back in '07 coming back from Canyonlands. Calico Kid was chasing me in his FI Montero and says with oversized tires he thinks we were doing closer to 95.

IT was miserable hot, and nothing under 80 would get the AC to work!:flipoff2:
