I’m in the market for a new tool chest finally! I’ve been saving up Home Depot gift cards and with the cash I’m willing to spend I’m in the $700-$800 range. Last year my Home Depot was fire selling most of them after the holidays.
I’ve been eye balling the following and the Husky equivalent.
Milwaukee 46 in. 18-Drawer Tool Chest and Cabinet Combo-48-22-8546 - The Home Depot
I’m hoping it’s on sale when I go in on the 31st when I’m back in town.
Anyone have any feedback?

Looks like a decent box for that sale price. It has a better drawer configuration than the other Milwaukee/DeWalt branded boxes typically in my local stores and it's 22" deep.
I've never seen this box in store. I might have bought one if I had (I ended up spending a lot more on a used Snap On combo).
If you buy Husky, don't be suckered by a slightly cheaper price and buy one of the flimsy ones with the gloss paint, only 18" deep, and simple, straight sided drawers.
Let us know what you get.

Thanks for the info. Yeah the drawer configuration is weird to me that they are all different. Some have drawers I like but have a few that I don’t see the point. I do like how most have the built in power.

Looks slightly updated, ( bottom left drawers are different ) but I have that exact same tool chest, bought it two years ago. They are awesome and I looked at all of the options. I didn't find anything else remotely in the price range that was as good a quality. Also, I've never seen them go for less than $798, I don't think they ever go on sale. You won't regret buying it.

I picked it up this morning. Realized how heavy it was real quick. Took 4 people to load it in my truck. We left it on it’s side so I could attemp to unload my self, which I did. It wasn’t fun. Started loading in tools and have way more space now, which is awesome.

Yeah, its no lightweight. I was so done with HD employees the day I bought mine. I'm sure they got a real kick out of watching me throw it on the flat roller by myself. Your going to love that cabinet, especially here in a year or two when you can remember where everything goes and only have to open one drawer to find your stuff.

They have this one on display in my local store, it's a beauty. I really liked the integrated power strip in the side.

My local store tricked one out as a give away with a stereo built into that lid on top. I say tricked out, but hell it might have been an option to come like that.

The Milwaukee brand has really felt like the quality is getting much better.

I have seen one in the store before that had a built in radio.

Still filling drawers. Compared to my old one I’m living the high life.

My dad got the milwaukee box and he had an issue with the paint coming off when he removed the stickers. Home Depot was good to work with, but just beware that it is a softer coating.

I haven’t tried to remove the huge sticker on the peg board yet but it was in the reviews. I peeled a corner and realized it would be a chore to get it all off.

My local HD had some Christmas leftovers priced way down. They had a 52" Husky combo set, both top and bottom, for $348. Same price as the combo 46" set. Looked like a pretty solid set for the money. Tempted, but I'd have to reorganize the garage quite a bit to fit a chest that big.

If it gets cold in your shop, wait until a cold day.
