im thinkin about painting my flares black. whats your guys opinion on this?

but do it well or it will look worse.


EDIT-worse was the wrong word.

I meant you might end up with something that looked better before you painted it.

I vote for black. BUT, were the flares painted on the FJ or off? If they were painted while of the FJ then you could be opening up a whole can of worms when you go to take them off and end up not only painting the flares but also having to touch up the quarters as well...

I think black would look great, for what it's worth! Durabak or LineX would look good too.

Color matched flares look better IMHO. Leave them the way they are.

wow pretty much a 50/50 split on this one. me thinks for now they will stay as they are. now all i gotta do is decide on gettin black rock rims.........

IIRC it's under Thread Tools (near the top) or check the additional options area (edit the first post and look below the 1st submit button)

can't you just unrivet/bolt them, remove paint back to rubber black, mount them back up..
