Pushed the old Rockwell (previously owned by @S4Cruiser and @GLTHFJ60) lathe’s limits taking massive cut on some IFS hubs to accept FZJ80 big rotors.
Then drilland and tapped the rotor and countersunk the hub for some M10’s so the rotor stays on the hub when the wheel is off (short knurl wheel studs will only press into the rotor and not the rotor and hub like on a 40/60)

Made an alignment bushing to position an exhaust flange for @jfz80 today. Bushing was to ensure alignment of the flange to the ID of the exhaust tubing. Flange angle is intentional, to fit the truck. Turned out great and doubled as a heat sink to make stainless tig easier.

Have been busy on the lathe the past few days. Making parts for the camper jacks. Was kinda tricky getting the right press fit for the bearings!

How do you like that Shars vice? I'm in the market for a new one.

Works fine. It's a little tight now towards the most open portion, but that's probably from dust in the shop. Clamps plenty hard.

I've never used a Kurt or the like, but I can't imagine how those could be *that* much better than the shars. I've been happy.
 
Time for a truck related update.

Made a tool to bolt driveshafts to the lathe today for build/repair. Not fancy, using scraps, but it works well. Realized my front driveshaft had a 1/2" bend in it, no wonder the slip yoke went bad :lol:

The bed is just barely long enough to do moonshine's front driveshaft, but as they say, if it fits, it ships.

brandon would probably let you use his mill.
 
Cv snout reduced for new tube size, then the rest put together. Thankfully the cv tube end snout was solid, so it could be cut down to fit the new 2" tube size from 2.75" (oddball size).

Shes nice and straight now with a new slip.
