I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a TMJ bumper with a F55 fairlead. I think @Markuson has this combo.

I don’t see how it’ll fit the factor 55 fairlead is wider than the space in the bumper. She picked below. I could make a spacer of some sort but it would have to be an inch and a half thick to get the thing far enough out. I only see two options spacers or grind a little bit of material off the Factor 55 Fairlite. For those of you have done this how do you do it?

I searched, and see pics like this:

So now I'm confused. Either F55 changed the length of the fairlead or my TJM winch slot is slightly smaller than others. Spacers won't really work as they would have to be thick enough to put the back side of the fairlead flush with the bumper face which isn't what I would want. I'm either going to grind of the ends of the fairlead or just go back to the Warn fairlead and EBAY my F55 fairlead. %$#$

Could it be installed on the winch cradle prior to installing the outer bumper shell? With the chamfer, the face is slightly narrower than the base.

my 1.5” epic measures about 11 5/8” wide and just less than an inch from bolt center to edge.

No because there is metal plate stiffeners in the bumper that are right at the ends of the winch slot.

I’ve commenced grinding the ends of the fairlead which I thought would be quick but it turns out the aluminum fairly just sort of melts onto my grinding wheel and makes it useless. Going old school with a metal hand file…

Thanks. I should have taken measurements before I started grinding…. Almost there. Need to stop though and will finish tonight. I thought I was gonna just quickly swap out the fairlead and go about my day but…

Different problem on the newer version of the T13 bumper. I can fit the 1" but the 1.5 is to thick the way the facelift T13 is designed.

Yeah, I went to slap the epic on and the oem bolts were too short.

Sigh.

It is odd that tjm doesn’t allow a foot of space for the 10” fairlead + an inch on both sides.

You’re remembering correctly. My Factor55 1.5” fits, and I don’t recall this being an issue.

In this zoomed shot you can see that its a very tight fit when the base of the F55 is taken into account:

If you bought your TJM through Slee, I’d just give them a call and ask
