Hello… in need of some opinions, please! I have two 40’s in the collection. 1) 1976 with 2 inch suspension with BFG’s looks really good. 2) 1973 stock suspension with 225/75/15 that are in need of replacement. The tread on these tires are steel good and I like the way they look, however, they are rotting bc they’re from 1996!!

I do not want to put any type of lift on this cruiser because I would like for it to stay stock and basically my cruise around town. However, I still would like for it to look badass and period correct. I know that a 235/75/15 tire will fit and look good. I am looking for a military type style tire. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I personally vote for some skinny MTs. My go-to are the Super Swamper SX2 33x9x15 from their blem page on some stock steelies with hubcaps. Here i my crusty '74 on stock suspension.

I would at least get 30x9.5s. Unless you are parking it in a museum, I think you won't like a nasty bias ply set of NDTs, no matter how cool they look. You can go up to 33x9.5s on stock rims and no lift, if you want that large of a tire.
