Tire Sizes BFG MT -vs- GYMTR....Im confused BFG's are huge.

thought I was going in for some 33x12.5's to downsize from a GY MTR 35x12.5.

the BFG's are allot taller, granted there is a little illusion...but the BFG's are huge....

this pic shows a new BFG MT 33x9.5 in front of my 35x12.5 GY MTR's......




THis pic shows the same 33x9.5 BFG MT in front of my 33x9.5 BFG AT's....

Wow, that is a huge difference. I wouldn't think the MT would be that much bigger than the AT .

I'm sure you checked that they are 33s?

granted this tire is in front and way larger than reality,,,but they are a good 2 inches taller...larger lugs and just way taller.

i had always heard that bfg actually measured at 32. guess thats another myth
get out the old tape measure and get to the bottom of it

Not a myth, BFG's measure small

Differences are bass pictures and the BFG is not on the truck and the GY is..


Plus a bit of wear on the MTR

The biggest thing I think is that you don't have a truck on the new tires to compare. Weight is a huge factor.
