ok, i am buying new tires and want opinions.

right now i have 285x75x16 Toyo A/T's.

I recently put a 2" OME lift in plus an ARB bumper and now my tires look wimpy. I want something larger/taller and more aggressive, but still keeping the LC from looking out of balance.

any thoughts?

Same size in M/T? Or I have some good Goodyear M/TR in 315R75 16 I'll sell ya;)

305s will rub. At least my BFG MTs did.

Funny, I've got the same size Toyos as you, but don't think they look wimpy at all.

Guess you CT guys are a lot tougher.

they rubbed with your lift? I think i want Toyo M/T's i really like the Toyo tires.

do you have any pics of your 305's mounted?

They rubbed on a full turn.

I've got pix of the 305s at home. Will post them tonight.

IMHO, The MTs were great for wheeling, but just too much for street use.

I'm semi-happy with the Toyo ATs for wheeling.

i havent used my A/T's on trails like Rauch Creek, but they were awesome in the snow. I want to go a bit more aggressive b/c i am converting from a mall cruiser to an actual cruiser......slowly but surly

Without looking at Toyo's website...I thought they had a 295/75-16 in the MT's

I have found the 285 width on 35" function significantly better in all types of road and trail surfaces I drive than the 315 width; and they don't need spacers. If I were to return to 33" I'd give the 255R85 16 a try. These are typically 33.3" or 33.4" tall.

I strongly disagree with the 315x75-16 recommendation because the lift height is only 2-inches. At 2-inches you will:

1. While turning sharply and hitting a bump or rock your tire tread will HIT the actual body at the upper wheel well. At 2.75" up it will not as the bump stop will save the wheel well.

2. If going over dips quickly on the asphalt (or off road) you will scrape the top inside of your wheel wells.

Note: Rubbing at full turn lock can be corrected without spacers though at 2" lift this is your least of problems.

****IF you want run 315's then increase your front height another 0.75".

Check this out...now imagine me needing to turn my tire to the PS? The way my truck is I can do it, and barely. Now reduce the front (wheel well height) by 3/4"....every tread of the tire top will go THUMP THUMP THUMP as it pulls/tries to bend your sheet metal. Been there, done that, lucked out and didn't damamge it, went to 2.75" instantly.

so what is the best set up for a 2" lift, as of right now i have 285x75x16 and there seems to be a ton of room to spare.

can i find 295 x 75 x 16's??
