Are you asking what we have, or what we suggest?

You also forgot 33's on stock 4.10s

I would like experience, becuase I have 33's and 4.10 and I know what that is like.

I don't doubt 4.88 and 35s would work well, but I'm worried 4.88 and 33's is too much. And I've seen others run 33's with 4.56, which I would guess work for me and for the future 35's.

4:88's and 35's are they way to go, trust me you'll love them..........

Ahh, I know and I'm drooling over the set that All Pro has, but I'm just worried that I have to run my 33's for atleat another year untill they wear out.

So should I just shut up and live with high rev's on the highway till I get 35's??

I think skyshark has 4,88s in his running 33's. Although this is with the 3FE, he says it is fine and has lots of pep. Talk to LC_Treme, he has 32's and 4.88s. He should know about top-end.

I made a table for 33" and 35" tires. Hope this helps:)

I would hate 33s and 4.88s on the highway.
Cheers,
Sean

From the chart above:

4.56's w/ 35's is 2,284rpm @ 65mph
4.88's w/ 33's is 2,422rpm @ 65mph

138rpm more at 65mph would hardly be noticeable. 35's are only 6% larger than 33's. I say go for it. Do mods according to your long term goals. It's cheaper to change tires than it is to swap gears.

Bear80,

Here are some more charts with the 75mph in OD you requested. BTW my cruiser is speed limited at 112, but it is interesting to compare the tire size and gear ratios at the higher speeds.

Hope this helps out.....

In stock form the Cruiser should rev 2,500RPM & 75 mph. If you now have 33" with 4.88:1 gears you would rev 2,795, which is a 295RPM increase. Finally, when you add the 35" tires, you are 2,635RPM, which is only 135 RPM higher than if it were stock.

Remember too, that if your final drive ratio is lower than stock, you will increase the engine braking capabilities of the rig. You will love this when off roading. So will your brakes.

I have 1991 HDJ 4.2 12V turbo with 35" tire and 3.727 ratio. I tought it is 4.10. But axle code K305 said it is 3.727. With 5 speed manual H151F. Now I am thinking add ARB front&rear air lockers RD132 and RD142 and pair it with Yukon 4.88. I am not sure is it good idea and is it even physically possible to connect those two. Or I should regear to 4.56... dilema... I would like to gain torque but not add to much rpm. I am not into top speed... It is not my dd, I use it for trips. In my country is a lot of hills and ups and downs

no. I have 4.88 and underdrive TC high range, i think that puts me close to 5.37?
That's another option but I think the OP is asking about diff gears😁
And 35s

I have 35” tires and 4.88 gears. It’s very close to stock 31” tires and 4.10 gears in how it feels on the road.
