Tips on setting the needle

well I am half way thru a carburator rebuild and have it all apart and soaking. The only problem I came across so far is that there was no screen around the needle seat and I did not pull the old one out. The new needle and seat look to have more parts then the one that was takin out. I just need a few pointers on putting the new one in. The carb rebuild kit is from CCOT...

Are you working on a stock carb? What kind of parts are they? Pics would help if you can.

Stock carb for an 82 fj60, I was just wondering how to set the need assm.

Just wondering if there where any tricks to it...
