Some caps are vented, some not. My memory is fuzzy on these, and I didn’t mark them when I pulled them. Brake vs clutch, or production date difference?

Mark, both brake and clutch are vented (little cap retained by a small cotter pin) on my early '64. Difference may be production based.

Mark lwt me know if your gonna have a box of these up for sale. I may need 1 or 2. Thanks Mike

'63 FJ45 clutch and brake master cups - no vent but rust included (and both are Tango Uniform). And that spark plug thingy is top secret, need-to-know so don't ask.

(65 + 63) ÷ 2 = 64. I guess that settles it, LOL. Ok, Splangy knows way more about this stuff anyhow, so follow his answer, 64!

We will talk.

And if anyone needs one of these tubes, apparently I have a baker’s dozen

Those are the large diameter clutch tubes, yes?

Yes, but, I need to do a little more sorting. Before I left to come home I saw another one attached to a 69, which reminded me of the difference between the ‘direct’ ones and the banjo ones.

Info... notice the large tube from the clutch master, this pin points the clutch, brake has the smaller 9 mm fitting.
Info... notice the little hole in the photo of the square cap on the brake master cylinder, that would be your vent.

.

Here is my 65 FJ40 with a early 64 build date:
