Took a photo of my '84 yesterday and it made me realize how saggy she is looking in the butt end.

I have been mulling over on OME lift, but this photo convinced me it's time. Calling Kurt this week to order. I have looked at all the options out there and have decided to go with OME.

Yup know that look way too well. I came across a stellar deal for 4 springs that have been re-arched with an AAL. Should be getting those today so hopefully that will buy me some time before I have to go with a whole new setup.

Other things on the list:

1. New, shorter antenna

2. 60 side mirrors (PO installed the 62's)

3. New front and rear bumpers. For the rear, leaning toward Jason's or 4Plus. For the front, gotta say I like the ARB.

4. Grey factory steelies with BFG AT's, have not decided on size yet.

I need a new antennae as well, let me know what you decide to get.

I purchased one of Jason's bumpers, worth every penny. The 4plus is probably an equally good bumper, I just haven't seen it in person.

I have the 60 mirrors and I hate them, whenever I get back to my truck in a parkinglot, somebody has bumped the mirror and has it pointing at the sky.
not a big deal on the drivers side. But i should just remove my passenger mirror, it's always way off.

I'm in the same boat (my rig is an '89 FJ62) and about to pull the trigger for an OME setup in the next couple of months. Plans are to add a similar set up to what your thinking of in regards to bumpers front and rear. I rally like the simplicity of the 4plus/Jason's front bumpers but like you said there is something about the ARB. My local shop (Landcruiser NW) suggested the factory steel wheels (I forget which ones exactly) as a good option for going up to a 16" without any hassle or breaking the bank.
Anyhow I look forward to seeing your progress!

I just did the OME lift from Kurt on my white cruiser, this summer. Totally worth it. I had the same sag. Haven't done bumpers yet, but I'll get there. Kurt will steer you in the right direction. I recommend a rear sway bar from an FJ62 while you're under there. It has been great for the ride quality.

Love that stripe - looks great! Thanks for the sway bar tip too.

Hey Chris, if you want to unload your 62 mirrors (manual type) when you get your new 60's and they are in good working condition... I'd be interested in them... mine are shot.
PM me if that day comes.. Thanks
Fred

Talikng with Jason about them - they are aftermarkets so he may or may not want them. If he doesn't I will let you know in case you are interested.

Got the suspension ordered, went with the ultimate heavy kit.

Kurt for the win!
Mine is in some critical need as well. The rear is saggy!

I went with Kurt as well. After getting the super stout front and rear bumpers from Trail-Tailor, had to "upgrade" to the OME Heavy front and Heavy + rears for proper ride height and safety (at least that's what I told :princess: LOL!). Bryce was a real help in selecting the right springs and parts needed to make the job a breeze. Installed the rears last weekend, Getting after the front springs and both bumpers this weekend! (will post up some pics when complete)
Kurt and Jason's outfits were both real nice to deal with, and didn't try to upsell me on crap I didn't need. Super helpful and quick to provide responses:clap:, good examples of how customer service SHOULD be, which is rare these days.
