Mtntopper
SILVER Star
Just acquired this '67 FJ40 which was advertised by the flipper, who possessed it for a week, as having a straight body (mostly correct) and 44k actual miles. After getting it home and going through it a bit, I've found no reason to dispute the mileage.
This is how it sat when I got to it.
First thing I noticed that got my blood pressure rising, pushed in front corner.
Next and thankfully final disappointing discovery, the shock tower is pushed back slightly at the same corner, enough to shear at least one structural rivet.
I've been told that rivet will not be possible to reproduce and I will have to use Grade 8 bolts in place of the rivets on that shock tower.
