In durango this weekend had thought I smelled a plastic burning odor a couple of times. On the last day of the trip the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and these are the codes:

P2447: Secondary Air Injection System Pump Stuck off (Bank 2)

C1268: Transfer L4 Position Switch Circuit

C1201: Engine Control System Malfunction

I found this website to bypass the Air Pump and air injection valves. 2008 - 2012 Plug & Play SAIS Bypass Kit

What do you guys think about the option above? Toyota quoted $2500.00 to fix.

I'm at 214,000 miles. I've spent quite a bit of maintenance already. I can do the $2500.00 but would rather not if I don't really need to.

Any thoughts on the burning smell?

Having the bypass air pump replaced and air injection valves at Lexus of Tulsa. $2400.00

I know my friends GX needed similar repairs. I haven't kept a 200 long enough up your mileage to see similar problems. $2400 is a big chunk of change.... :(

With my headers and secondary deletes from Kooks I'm trying this to deal with the same codes - albeit from a different cause...

SAIS Bypass Kits - w/ Pump Packs

hoping to get it in next week to see if it keeps the codes from returning .....

E,
did you decide to keep her? or trying to clear codes for sale?

I'm torn.... but figured I'd get all the last things sorted regardless.... this one issue never bothered me much but worth fixing ....
might be taking her to Sparks if I decide to keep her.....
