The PO had the drive belts replaced a few years ago along with the radiator. As you can see below, they the Gates brand, made in the US.

I've heard mixed opinions on their quality however. I replaced all my hoses with genuine Toyota rubber, but would it be worth replacing the belts with OEM as well?

They seem to be holding up well, but just thought I'd put this out there. Don't mind the petroleum deposits on my engine block.

IME in a stock FZJ80, driven in temperate climate (Southeast US), the Toyota belts last at least 30-50k miles or 5-6 years before they're starting to look tired.

However anytime I have the belts off (replacing water pump, AC idler pulley, alternator, oil pump cover, fan clutch) they're always replaced even if it's only been a couple of years since last time they were changed. As Cdan mentioned they'e so inexpensive it's a no brainer to replace them whenever you're in there.
