I have an 89 FJ62 with a 6.2L LS Swap and 6L80 transmission.
$40k is going rate.
Engine and tranny were brand new from Chevrolet. Cost included fabrication, Advanced Adapter for TCase, wiring, exhaust.
I haven’t upgraded my brakes. I have an OME suspension, lots of bling - Front, Rear bumpers and Sliders from Trail Tailor.
For me, it was well worth the investment. Folks that don’t have the cash can DIY it and buy parts from the junkyard and do this for $10-15k. Labor isn’t cheap. And you don’t want to skimp on experts who will get the job done right.
