Have a couple questions for those of you running a a W56 or NV3500. What transfer case did you use? Any issues with an offset from the factory rear end?

What engine are you running? Because I have never seen either of those transmissions behind an F.
 
Going to be running a Mercedes diesel OM617. The kits are available, so I would imagine someone is running it, just a matter of finding who. No luck in the diesel section of the forum thus far.
 
i was not aware that they had adapters for the nv3500/w56 to the LC adapter

They have the adapter that fits the ford T&C overdrive 4 speed manual infront of your LC transfercase. It's @500 bucks, its easy to adapt the ford to chevy bellhousing. and it's only 10.25 inches long so no wheel base extension needed.

and for those of us with pto winch it will retain use of the pto.
 
The right way to do it is a Toyota R151f with the w56 adapter, to a mini-truck range box, then a marlin toy-box adapter.

I agree that this would be the best way to go, however, Marlins web site is showing that the Toybox is 'coming soon' and has been that way for quite a while now...

I've been waiting for a SM420-ToyBox-Splitcase setup for over a year now...

dohcdelsol93: There's adapters that allow you to use the NV4500 with the LC transfer case, I was mistaken with regards to the 3500.

Thanks for the suggestion with regards to the toy box. Called them and they are not sure when they are going to make another batch.
