Thie is a 1994 US model Ext cab 4x4 truck with a 3.0L 1Kzte turbo diesel toyota engine with 4spd ECT auto trans. The transfer case is also electronic with gears instead of a chain. This one was around $5800 labor and $5300 for the half cut (engine, trans, wiring, radiator etc ). The customer sold the original gas powertrain for around $2000 on ebay so he had roughly $8000 into it. I will be posting a video of it driving in HD so stay tuned. As you'll see from the video, these computer controlled diesels make the 3.0 v6 gas engines look stupid as far as acceleration, torque and economy. It's a damn shame Toyota never made these here. So far I have registered 394 miles on a 14.5 gallon tank of diesel. This is also with excessive idling etc during setup/tuning. I usually see about 425-430 miles on a tank. This is staying off the boost (harder to do than you think) and driving it sensibly. At 75 mph the rpms are at 2500.

Thanks guys...Well usually you can pick up a 4runner with a blown v6 for less than $2000 down here. The trucks range from $3500-6000 depending on condition. But yes, there is a large cost of the vehicle plus parts/labor. We just finished a tacoma double cab about a month ago. That was for a celebrity and I cant say who.

dude .. it looks pretty clean !

love to see the video .. but anycase it's a nice swap .. hoy much boost you set .? ( thought running 4.10 R&P )
