I had the usual leak through the deteriorated gasket underneath the belt moulding beneath the third row windows. I removed the moulding and siliconed the holes thoroughly and put it back together, but I still have some issues. The leak seems to be gone, but I had to go a bit overboard and silicone my third row windows shut to eliminate all water intrusion. Over the years, this has caused a big rust issue on the left inside. As part of my plan to clean up and repair the rust I intend to install gull-wing windows. I also plan on monstalining the truck down the road a bit. Would it look too odd or cause any issues if I just permanently removed the third row belt moulding and permanently sealed the leaky clip-holes and bedlinered over it? Has anyone else eliminated the belt moulding and associated holes here?
