    Here are my choices

Toyota dual cab Tacoma - TRD

    Saab 9.3 Aero Turbo

The wife likes them both, but thinks we need a car so that MPGs dont kill us. I think both would cost just about the same - Toy prolly a bit less...

    things to consider
    1. we have a dog
    2. we have a kid
    3. i will be driving a little bit for my job
    4. commute to work aprox 30-40mins
    5. we have 3 LCs right now

You forgot the "Don't ever lease a car!" option on the poll.

I prefer the truck but if mpg is the priority, the Saab sould be the choice.

I am leaseing but prolly gonna buy the car out. Dont want to throw a bunch of $$ down right now.

I like the truck as well, but i like the 2004 style better - this one looks to bubbly

Figure how many miles you drive a year and then see how little difference there really is in the price to drive. You might be suprised at how little a difference there is. I also like the 2004 Tacos better.

Hell, if you're gonna lease get the new Acura RL {cheesy sound.....uh......schwing...}.

Better car than the Sob. [opinion, opinion]

If you've got a 100, a 40 and a 60 (sure you're gonna sell it...whatever...) why would you want to get another truck? I'd get something different. Saab looks good, and I'm sure there are other options out there as well. I've been driving our Avalon all weekend and it was a nice switch (smooth, real acceleration is really something, when you're used to driving a 60)

Hey, but that Saab looks pretty sweet..........actually.

    I can agree with Swank.....you don't need a truck.

IIRC, the Saab 93 Aero Turbo is a a Subaru WRX in Saab clothing...
    Might be something to consider.

Wow, I can't imagine not having a pick-up truck. Hauling rock, couches, tree limbs, elk, refrigerators, etc, etc, etc, isn't very fun in a Cruiser.

the WRX is smaller and doesnt look as good. If i were to get a Subaru, it would be the turbo legacy @ 250hp....scary fast

If money is concern, do the math. Hundreds of calculators out there. Saving a buck now may cost you huge down the road.

Think of the big picture. Leasing is only a smart move for a very small percentage of people these days.

Don't just write this off, I'd bet the are dozens of alternatives to take care of your needs other than taking the hit on a new car purchase or lease.

We recently purchased a CPO 01 9-5 SE Wagon for the lady. It gets 27-28 mpg 200hp stock (feels like more when you get into the turbo)and seems to be an awesome car currently approaching 44K miles. Paid $20,500. Hell, I even like driving it.

...Just remember the "sport" button is your friend!!!!

    I would get the Tacoma.
    1. Saab is GM which means it sucks.
    2. Tacoma will have better re-sale (will be worth more than the gas savings)
3.. I bought an Accord and every day reflect on how fawking boring a car is. I drove around in a friends 2002 Double cab TRD this weekend and would give my left nut to replace my car with a TRD.
I'm not kidding and very sad! :frown: :frown: :frown:
P.S this makes no fawking sense though. Selling the 60 cause you have to many vehicles only to replace it with another vehicle?

Yes, you are right, but i dont think throwing VP's and Pres of multimillion $$ compaines around in the 60 is the answer...
besides, the 60 has a much greater chance of something going wrong with it than a new car does.

Oh, i am sure there are tons of alternatives. I usually like to buy used cars, but in this case i want to go with a new one.
When i negotiated my salary i added having a lease payment, gas, and insurance into the whole equation. Sure i could get a POS and pocket the cash, but what fun is that.
