Hey guys after going to austin texas 2 weeks ago and putting 1300 miles on that trip and then this weekend putting 700 miles going to otero in new mexico i am thinking of a conversion for my rig. There is alot of hills and truck wasnt doing to well on the climbs. Of course i have a OME lift 5.29s and 315s i understand its going to be sluggish. I love this truck but in reality i love to road trip and need something with a lol more girth. So just asking for some help and advice parts list etc. thanks guys.

Your first order of business would be picking which engine you want to swap in.
2uz's have been done and documented several times. There's stuff on SBCs, LS2s, and various diesels, among others as well.

it is a 1FZ all wheel drive with lockers
Do a search for LS1 and read, then do a search for LS2 and read. Wayne, Kirk, and I are working on V8 conversions and this will give you a good idea what your in for.
