So for the past two weeks I have been searching for the source of the smell of death. I looked every place I can think of .... Has any on else have a critter die in your truck if so were. Any places I should look :(

Behind every panel...under the center console...

I did the center ... I need a DEA dog

did you check under the hood for the neighborhood cat. yep, they crawl up there to stay warm

dead squirrel in the vents/space just below the windshield wipers. got caught in there and couldn't escape. extra stench occurred when heater/fan system started. rough. you could see him by peering in there. yuck.

I always find them in the front grill:grinpimp:

thanks I will update as to the out come....

if you remove the glovebox you can remove the heater-blower resistor from the heater box. Carefully shine a light thru there and check for a mouse. You can sometimes get it out thru the rectangular hole. Or at least vacuum up any leaves or debris in there.

I sprayed some a/c freshener in there while I had mine apart.

Are you sure its not your feet? :D

I have seen cats, mice and snakes under several hoods. Have fun finding it!
