I wanted to get an American made Stanley/Aladdin thermos bottle, but they're made in China now.

I looked into getting an older one on Ebay, but heard that as years go by, the vacuum that's essential in holding hot or cold temps, is compromised and loses it's efficiency at doing so.

I figured if I'm going to buy something made in China, I'd research and get the best of what they make and I found this brand:

Rated very high.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I've had great service from the Zojirushi brand. They are made in Japan, very high quality and the company is in Torrance if you ever need a seal or lid.

I retuned 3 thermos' to a shop before I kept the Nissan Thermos. Mine works really well, but I preheat with boiling water. It will stay hot in the truck for 12 hrs, and I've had acceptable coffee 24 hrs later. I recommend.

Nearly anything I've ever had that was made in Japan was good stuff.
I bought some Snow Peak tent stakes and hammer the other day for no other reason than they were forged steel and looked like a really well made piece of equipment. Sad when you buy something you don't really need just because you're excited to see something actually built well instead of the usual crap.

I have two old thermos bottles, one is over 35 years old and I have no idea how old the other is, I inherited it from my step dad who was a construction worker it's older than mine for sure. My son uses the older one every day and has hot coffee all day long. Mine will still keep coffee hot for 12 hrs. (Assuming a proper preheat). I'd buy an old used one in a heart beat.

The problem is that even the Zojirushi brand is now made in China. At least that's what I found out through the REI website.

I called Zojirushi today and asked them about country of manufacture...

For their vacuum bottles it is Japan for some, but most from Thailand.

They said about 50% of their products are made in Japan still! I wonder how the quality is now?

Another good product succumbs to the "Make it cheaper" world! Bummer!

Nissan Backpacker bottle works well from them. It is only 18 oz. We have also been using Hydro Flasks. Multiple sizes with them

I love my Zojirushi 16oz pop top bottle for keeping my coffee hot all day. The Thermos one I had never came clean, it always smelled like bad milk.
I gave a Nissan thermos pop top to my mom for keeping ice cold water at her bedside through a long illness and she loved it. It seemed very well made.

I'm a coffee freak.

I've tried many different insulated bottles and I'm using ones from Bubba.

20 0z. Price is right and work pretty good. Keeps the coffee hot and warm long enough. Fits into most cup holders. Fits perfectly into a Tuffy cup holder I have.

I bought mine at target. Big 5 also carries them. They also make models with extra insulation.

That Bubba one looks interesting. I may try it. (I'm a coffee freak too)

The Zojirushi is thin enough that I was able to buy a neoprene water bottle sleeve that fits perfectly. Now even when it gets cold I can still have hot Joe for hours. The sleeve clips to my lure bag so I can take it with me on foot easily.

The Thermos Nissan is the best I have ever used. It can't be beat!
