I use Sharpies a LOT. I always have a box on my bench in the garage, several stashed in the truck, and there's always one in my EDC, usually tucked into the left side pocket of my Carhartts, next to a flashlight. Found these a few weeks ago in Lowes on one of those endcap hang racks, figured I'd give them a try.

They do work really well, but they also have an odd odor to them. Not really bad, just different. Certainly not as bad as some of the reviews on Amazon, wow some people are sensitive.

Honestly I haven't had to use it for that yet. I keep one in my kitchen pantry, every thing that goes into my fridge gets dated (date it got opened or cooked, expiration date), and it seems to do better on wet sweaty things. Does well on shiny labels that "regular" Sharpies wouldn't.

Milwaukee sells something very similar and they work surprisingly well on oily surfaces. I’ll have to give these a try too.
