I wasn't shopping... I had even pretty much decided I was on the downward curve of owning vehicles, after all is a 40, 45LV and 60 not enough for any mortal?

Then my brother in law sent me a FB Marketplace link... wait what? a Stout for sale 11 minutes from my house... really?

...really.

Then this happened:

Said to run on starting fluid, needs rockers, frame is fully surface crusty/rusty but very solid, Came with 5 original wheels, 3 good and one trashed hubcap original and rubber floor mat.

Are these mirrors original?

It does seem to be original and mostly complete - and I would always prefer that over dealing with some POs "work". I'll have to figure out how to form the shaped parts of the rusted rockers but that'll be a good skill to learn.

Great SCORE Mark! I wanna stop by one day and check 'er out. Those mirror arms look to be original! The mirrors themselves were changed at some point, prob broken by whatever. If you want to sell it down the line, let me be the first in the queue! Hope you guys are well, take care 😎

Interesting story... I hunted down the person whose name is on the title for my "new" Stout. I called him and he called me back. Turns out he bought it as a repo back in 1968 or so and owned it up until about a year and a half ago. He MIGHT have some pictures and/or printed materials from the truck's history. I'll report back...

Bummer!

I recently picked up a '67 and was hoping to compare notes. Did someone on mud get it?
